The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday released its month summary that revealed a a very worrying record for India. The month – April 2022 – is the warmest that the country has seen in the last 122 years, the IMD analysis says. The is the second consecutive month of highest-ever temperature for India. Earlier, March was also recorded as the warmest month. While heatwave may ebb from Thursday, northeastern region will witness heavy rainfall, the IMD forecast says.
