I tried something different this week! Rather than just buying everything at Aldi (which is simple, but their prices have been going up every single weeks it seems!), I decided to try out some other stores to see if I could cut my grocery bill. All of these stores are within 10 minutes of each other except for the last one, so I didn’t waste a lot of gas money. I actually planned it out so that I didn’t waste ANY gas money at all this week, because I regularly drive past every single one of these stores several times a week on my way to and from other activities. So I would just stop in when I was already driving past. I still have a few more stores on my list to check out, but I ran out of time this week (Ollies, Big Lots, and Save A Lot). Conclusion: YES, I saved money! I ended up with more food for less money overall. Some of these things will last for weeks. YES, it took more time! I think I will take it on a week-by-week basis from here on out. I haven’t even been checking the deals at the other stores, but I’m going to start doing that again. But I scored all of these cereals for $1/box and they don’t expire until April ’23!
