Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity markets started Monday’s session moving between gains and losses but soon bulls asserted control. S&P BSE Sensex was up more than 500 points to breach 54,800 while the NSE Nifty 50 index was above 16,400. Bank Nifty rose 1.44% while India VIX was down in the red after having soared higher earlier in the day. Maruti Suzuki India was the top gainer, up 4%, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra, and Larsen & Toubro. Tata Steel nosedived 13% while ITC was down 1.3%. Steel stocks were under pressure.
