Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 are likely to open lower on Monday amid weak global cues. Trends on SGX Nifty indicated a gap-down start for Indian equity markets, with a loss of 216.50 points or 1.25 per cent. The Nifty futures were trading around 17,137.50 level on the Singaporean Exchange. Asian shares slipped in early trade tracking weak US markets. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan dipped 0.2 per cent, while Japan’s Nikkei lost 2.1 per cent. Meanwhile in the US, S&P 500 futures edged up 0.2 per cent and Nasdaq futures 0.1 percent after steep losses on Friday. Indian benchmarks indices on Friday snapped three-day winning momentum to end lower. While the Sensex fell 773.11 points or 1.31 per cent to 58,152.92, Nifty ended 231 points or 1.31 per cent lower at 17,374.80.
